This position is only filled locally. With contractual conditions of the respective country. An expatriation is not intended.

These are your responsibilities

  • Participates in the processes to set compliance and accountability standards, tools and methodologies for early warning systems;
  • Perform compliance reviews and critical issue investigations at partners, assess findings and agree with the partners and country office(s) on follow up actions;
  • Manage new and emerging compliance issues and monitoring the effectiveness of project controls;
  • Implements and manages the issue resolution process of Critical Issues incidents in the regions and reports back on a regular basis by drawing up of a list of lessons learnt after a resolution process and building this into project compliance audit process;
  • Identify and analyse field compliance risks on an on-going basis and prepare a report on specific cases and general trends;
  • Review, report and recommend remedial actions to partner systems as measured to contract obligations.

Supporting core business functions

  • Develops an excellent understanding, skills, knowledge and behaviour that is aligned to Business needs and wider organizational strategy;
  • Undertakes Partner Assessments as may be required from time to time.

These are your qualifications

  • Holder of a university degree in accounting, business management or similar and CPA/ACA/ACCA;
  • A minimum of five years of field compliance experience preferably with an international development organisation and/or experience in audit;
  • Good knowledge of fund requirements of major aid agencies for example EU, USAID, BMZ;
  • Deep technical knowledge in areas of financial management, risk and compliance;
  • Knowledge in maintaining highly optimized compliance processes;
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy and with an ability to remain flexible and work well under pressure;
  • Knowledge of Teammate+ auditing system (an added advantage).
