Key Responsibilities
As Finance Business Analyst you will be part of the finance/cost team for the Tyra Redevelopment Project, you will act as the Finance focal point and advisor to the Tyra Redevelopment Project, driving financial agenda in the leadership forums and securing budget- and cost ownerships throughout the organization. This is with the possibility to continuously learn and develop your competencies in providing financial leadership, guidance and support on reporting, financial business performance as well as implementation and execution of financial strategies and priorities. You will get to use your knowledge and experience applying a range of techniques when providing comprehensive business analysis and support to achieve business goals by providing key business information while ensuring appropriate challenge is applied to forecasts, long term plans and financial decision.

Overall, you have the responsibility of facilitating and driving forecasting, budget, and long-term plan processes within the Tyra Redevelopment Project including appropriate challenges to cost and plans, working closely with the Delivery teams.

These areas of responsibilities will include tasks such as:

  • Verify month end results and engage the organization to perform variance and burn rate analysis based on business performance and activities;
  • Liaise with the organization and the Cost Control team to collate and prepare for VOWD estimates, ensuring validated Accruals shared with the Cost Team;
  • Provide financial understanding across PnL, Balance sheet and Inventory etc. to the organization;
  • Drive transparency and efficiency on G&A spend for all budget holders within the Tyra Redevelopment project to ensure appropriate reporting and management of costs internally and towards JV partners;
  • Understand and provide transparency to internal and external allocations impacting the Tyra Redevelopment project, which includes Corporate charges, Logistics and employees’ costs.
  • Liaise with Economics, Controlling and Cost Controlling teams to understand financial impact on both equity and JV books as well as bridging between LTP, actuals and forecasts/budgets;
  • Maintain effective working relationship with JV partners ensuring accurate and timely information for JV reporting;
  • Financial advisor in relation to all investment approvals for the Tyra Redevelopment Project (Total and JV processes – letters, IP’s and AFE’s);
  • Support the development and benchmarking of project OPEX estimates;
  • Drive and support finance improvement projects including 3c.

Your background

  • High caliber qualified Finance professional with a proven track record;
  • Oil & Gas Industry knowledge and experience;
  • Very proficient with SAP;
  • Demonstrate high levels of attention to detail.
  • Good accounting knowledge with ability to interpret, analyze and present financial data in a business context;
  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office skills
  • Proficiency in oral and written English
