Job Summary:

The Partnerships Coordinator is responsible for the leadership of the Partnerships Department (under the grants and partnerships’ function), in Erbil Mission office of Mehad.
S/he will lead all duties and responsibilities of the partnerships department which includes:

• Identifying potential partners and donors, and maintaining an up-to-date potential partner database.
• Donor’s mapping and conducting updated screening of funding opportunities and potential partners.
• Educating donors about the current needs via sharing need assessments and project concept notes regularly.
• Informing donors about strategic planning, program design, and proposal/concept proposal development.
• Scheduling, facilitating meetings with potential partners for presenting MEHAD work and looking for ways of cooperation.
• Scheduling and facilitating partnership review meetings monthly / quarterly with current partners to ensure good communication and performance.

• Discussing the challenges, development plans, and extra major issues affecting the partnership internally and externally.
• Setting a communication plan for contacting partners.
• Drafting, reviewing meeting minutes, and sharing action points with related departments.
• Updating the organization activities profile in coordination with projects and IM departments.
• Supporting grants, projects, and operation departments during kick-off and closeout meetings internally and externally.
• Conducting Partners’ satisfaction Assessment (PSA) survey (Frequently and at the end of each Partnership).
• Looking for new fund opportunities / new grants.
• Reviewing the call for proposals (CFP).
• Leading the process of the Go / No Go decision.
• Leading the process of the proposal preparation (the 3Ps) (meeting, assignment of tasks, and writing the proposal).
• Assigning tasks related to the concerned departments in preparing the Concept note / Proposal.
• writing the proposal, compiling all inputs from all other departments, and submission of the documents).

• Working closely with the Projects department and operation departments to ensure partnership and risk assessments are conducted and relevant partnership functions and compliance are maintained.
• Leading the Preparation of OCAs, Due Diligence documents, Expression of Partnerships Interest, and pre-award assessments (PAA), with support from programs departments and other departments.
• Representing MEHAD in events and meetings including Partnerships Working Groups, UNOCHA clusters, NES HWG, NES NGO Forum, … etc.
• Reading and reviewing documents related to joining networks and platforms.
• Registration in humanitarian platforms and follow-up with registration in other countries.
• Leading the development of concept notes and proposals.
• Setting the annual partnerships Department plan. (Annual Objectives).

• Working with the projects and grants management and legal teams, to ensure that partnership tools and financial standards meet donor requirements.
• Organize the archive of all partnerships department related documents online in the OneDrive assigned for the department, and make sure to be updated frequently by grants team.
• Supervise the tracking of the tasks in the partnerships department through the tool of weekly tasks planner.
• Collect the inputs of different units, departments, and functions in Programs administration for the monthly internal report, compiling it and submitting it to the head of programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager.

•BA in Business, administration, finance, or any related field. MA is preferred.
• At least five years’ experience working in the Partnerships / Projects / Communication management under the Humanitarian field.
• MS – Office, Advanced in Excel.
• Using Webinar platforms.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to deal sensitively with people from a variety of cultural and social backgrounds.
• Willing to adapt to MEHAD values without compromising personal beliefs
and principles.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Ability to interact with staff in a professional and helpful manner.
• High presentation skills to facilitate workshops, meetings, …etc.
• High communication skills, especially in virtual events.
• Working under unstable humanitarian situation.
• High Proposal writing and high reporting skills.
• High managerial skills.

Language Requirement:

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Arabic and English (Required);
• Average Kurdish (Preferable).
