Job Purpose:     This role involves supporting the Public Affairs Department on different projects, by contacting donors in relation to cash/regular giving donations and non-financial support

Key Responsibilities:

  • To complete Telemarketing campaigns and reach key performance indicators

General Campaign Tasks:

  • Contacting existing donors or prospects by telephone as part of a Marketing Campaign;
  • To ensure that all calls made are in line with the procedures of Concern;
  • To achieve productivity and ensure key performance indicators are met;
  • To ensure accurate and complete information is captured in CRM systems;
  • Attend campaign briefing and training and participate actively within the training environment;
  • Maintain a professional and courteous manner when interacting with donors;
  • Undertake specific tasks and projects as directed by the Telemarketing Project Manager;
  • Additional duties as and when required in assisting other departments with Concern Worldwide.

Skills and Experience Required: 

Essential:

  • Previous experience of working to and exceeding targets;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work in a team;
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills and a desire to develop in the role by engaging in training and accepting feedback and supervision from management;
  • Strong negotiation and objection handling skills;
  • Good IT skills with knowledge of MS Office, in-house databases, the Internet and able to analyse information;
  • Friendly and professional telephone manner.

Desirable:

  • Min 6-12 months telesales & customer service experience preferably in a contact centre or telesales role;
  • Interest/Experience in international development.
