If you join us, this is what you will be doing:

  • Responsible for the delivery of the Telemarketing Strategy, within key performance indicator targets, that contribute to the development of the annual fundraising operational plan. Consistently analyze results, interpret trends, and provide recommendations on strategies.
  • Management of activity for the recruitment of supporters, with a particular focus on digital fundraising, but also includes – direct mail, email, press, DRTV, radio, and Face to Face.
  • Manage journey mapping, & in particular the stewardship & relationship management of supporters, to improve supporter retention and giving levels of new & current cash and regular giving supporters, using techniques such as telemarketing, direct mail, email, digital, and face-to-face.
  • To work closely with the Data Analyst & Data Analysis agency, to review telemarketing campaigns and other fundraising campaigns & channels to ensure that information is used to maximize income for future campaigns.
  • Lead full campaign management and execution in line with prescribed deadlines. To include, where necessary, briefing of agencies, sourcing/development of materials, managing data selection criteria, copy/script development, managing the approvals process, proofing, briefing Telemarketing/Donor Care Team, campaign analysis and reporting, managing costs, and invoice processing.
  • Monitor and report on budgets and lead in building future expenditure and income targets. Work as part of the Fundraising Team to reach strategic targets.
  • To ensure that fundraising campaigns are, where possible, integrated or coordinated by the target audience in above and below-the-line marketing activities, to maximize impact.
  • Work closely with & influence Supporter Marketing, Community Fundraising, Corporate Major Donors, and Donor Care – in particular, the Communications, Web, Active Citizenship, and other units to ensure integrated working and consistent messaging.
  • To work with the Fundraising Teams to implement, and where necessary review, the Emergency Fundraising Strategy.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current legislation, best practices, and industry standards around fundraising and adhere to all relevant regulatory procedures.
  • Travel to meetings overseas and in country where necessary & participate in sector consortia where necessary.

Skills you will bring:

Essential:

  • Third-level qualification in marketing, business, or related discipline;
  • At least three years’ experience in delivering direct marketing campaigns, preferably within a Fundraising environment;
  • Experience and knowledge of direct marketing recruitment and development techniques including telemarketing, direct mail, email, press, radio, DRTV, digital, face-to-face, and newsletters;
  • Excellent written skills including experience in writing and commenting on fundraising copy/scripts;
  • Experience in using a fundraising database for effective analysis of direct marketing campaigns and trend-giving patterns;
  • Experience in working with external suppliers to deliver successful direct marketing campaigns.
  • Strong planning and project management skills.
