BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DIVISION:

The Operational Risk Mitigation Service (SCOR) develops and implements risk management and insurance programmes to respond to evolving organizational needs. We work with relevant services to design and implement effective risk mitigation solutions, provide pre-emptive guidance on practical loss prevention; coordinate the determination of causes of loss and damage and direct salvage reconditioning and disposal of any damaged cargo.

Under the supervision and guidance of the Insurance Analyst and in collaboration with SCOR colleagues, the intern will support operations by reviewing, analyzing and capturing incidents.

  • Duration of internship: 6 months (possible extension);
  • Expected Start Date: February 2023.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate programme from a recognized university OR recently graduated from an undergraduate or graduate programme (within six months prior to the application to the internship programme) from a recognized university;
  • University course attendance in the past 12 months;
  • Relevant field of studies: Business Studies and/or Management Science

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Good attention to detail and strong communication and reporting skills;
  • Outstanding research, data entry and analytical skills;
  • General knowledge of capturing information and assigning priority in systems;
  • Work effectively in a multi-cultural and diverse international environment;
  • Ability to plan work and organize tasks with reasonable supervision;
  • Ability to multi-task and solve problems in a fast-paced environment;
  • Time management skills with an ability to plan ahead, anticipate problems and obstacles.

WORKING LANGUAGES

Excellent written and spoken English is required (proficiency/level C).
