ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT

This position is based in Country Office Islamabad, and report to the Head of Partnerships Unit or the designate. Job holder is required to carry out well-defined activities and straight forward analytical work. Job holder is likely to be working closely with a more experienced professional staff member receiving guidance and regular feedback on work performed.

JOB PURPOSE

To support all Operational Information Management and Performance Reporting (OIM & PR) activities and contribute to the establishment and presentation of standard operating picture of WFP programme portfolio and associated results that facilitate informed and timely decision-making at all levels throughout the organisation.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

Under the overall supervision of Head of Partnerships or the designated officer, OIM & Performance Reports
Officer is expected to perform following duties;

Information Management:

  • Manage the inter-agency WHO COVID-19 partner platform on behalf of WFP
  • Be the focal point for salesforce. Manage all donor information, opportunities and forecasts on salesforce
  • Complete the donor-reporting matrix in collaboration with all relevant units. Collect and catalogue all grant agreements, project proposals, grant confirmation documents, email threads and any other relevant documents. Matrix must be monitored and updated monthly (Teamwork’s, Salesforce).
  • Manage donor reporting calendar monthly and follow up with relevant stakeholders
  • Disseminate reporting products and operational updates to donors and others when requested by head of unit

Reports:

  • Coordinate the timely collection of inputs and develop monthly operational reports (country briefs, Government reporting etc.)
  • Coordinate the timely collection of inputs from strategic objective teams and other relevant units and support the development/review of donor reports and other documents pertinent to donors
  • Support the collection of inputs from all key units and development of the annual country report
  • Support the development and review of internal and external situation reports during emergencies
  • Follow-up on queries raised on reports from relevant functional units
  • Work closely with programme teams and assist in the development of funding proposals including for biletral and multilateral donors
  • Draft success stories for social media and donor reporting
  • Draft flyers/infographics on the strategic pillars as and when needed
  • Assist donor meetings
  • Other duties as and when assigned
MEASURABLE OUTPUTS OF THE WORK ASSIGNMENT
  • Compilation of country briefs after collection of information from all relevant units
  • Collecting updated information and compiling monthly implementation updates for the Government of Pakistan
  • Support collecting inputs and compiling/reviewing narratives for the Annual Country report
  • Support collecting inputs and developing/reviewing donor reports
  • Manage the inter-agency WHO COVID-19 partner platform on behalf of WFP

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Advanced University degree in Political Science, Economics, Statistics, Information Management or Journalism, Business Management, Social Sciences or other relevant field, or First University degree with additional years of related work experience and/or training/courses.

Experience:

Three years or more of postgraduate professional experience in a relevant field of work, with a background and interest in international humanitarian development.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • General knowledge of information management best practices, techniques and processes with some understanding of the basic theoretical background.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including substantive analysis and report writing skills.
  • Knowledge of, or the ability to quickly assimilate, UN/WFP specific processes and systems.

 

Language:

Fluency (level C) in English and Urdu language.
