Objective of the position

As ISSO Coordinator you will lead a team who provide expertise and support to international staff and colleagues inside and outside the HRM department on movement (including visa) to and from our missions, ensuring outstanding standards of customer care.

Main responsibilities:

  • Lead the team ISSO team to realise travel arrangements and related support to country program staff (field missions).
  • Ensure policies, ways of working/ procedures are described and adhered to, and best practices are being shared.
  • Guide the making of complex or critical decisions when the normal flow of activities, standards of support cannot be realised, or exceptions need to be handled.
  • Optimise the collaboration with other sections (Berlin).
  • Supervise the performance of external service providers, notably travel agencies, and take action when needed, to attain the contracted levels of service.
  • Manage the team in all people management related aspects: induction, performance evaluation, engagement capabilities development, etc.

Candidate profile:

  • We are looking for an engaging, hard-working and dynamic professional with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant experience.
  • Organisational sensitivity and excellent communication skills are crucial to succeed as coordinator.
  • Ideally you would have experience in coordinating a team that works on fast-paced and often changing tasks.
  • You will have minimum 2 years’ experience in a customer focused role and a consistent track record in a leadership role.
  • You are persuasive with a track record of engaging with multiple stakeholders on a variety of topics.
  • You have a strong drive for results; are stress-resilient, and enjoy developing and supporting people
  • Excellent level in spoken and written English.
