THE OPPORTUNITY

Plan International Philippines is looking to engage a Resource Mobilization Director to build a team that will ensure adequate necessary resources for Plan’s program in the country.  The incumbent will be the team’s primary influencer and ambassador on our advocacies on child sponsorship, and will work with donors and partners to drive our agenda on children’s rights and equality for girls.

The incumbent will be reporting to the Executive Director and will sit as a member of the Country Management Team.  S/he will also provide leadership and guidance to three functions – Grants Management, Marketing Communications, and Individual Giving.

As the Resource Mobilization Director:

  • You will lead the design and implementation of the resource mobilization strategy aligned with Plan Philippine’s vision and mission in the country
  • You will build and manage relationships with in country donors and stakeholders, proactively exploring partnership and funding opportunities
  • You will work closely with all internal groups to ensure timely and accurate reports and narratives to donors and affiliates, as well as compliance to all grant regulations
  • You will guide the management team in its’ communications and branding, helping achieve and secure a respectable stature in the industry and wider community
  • In exceptional cases, you may be asked to support emergency response activities in the communities covered by our work.

To be successful in this role you will need among other things:

  • Master’s Degree (MA) in Public Administration, Social Sciences, Organizational Development or related fields
  • At least ten (10) years’ experience working in development sector, preferably in similar-minded and comparable sized NGOs
  • At least five (5) years’ experience in donor relations, fund raising and grants management, and donor reporting
  • Proven track record in leading and managing advocacy for child protection
  • Excellent communication skills, (I.e., good command of both oral and written English and Pilipino) and good human relations, extending to a wide range of internal and external partners and stakeholders.
  • Applicants must be based in the Philippines and a Filipino national.
