Working as part of the wider RSRFL directorate, the purpose of the role is to provide administrative support to our North West team. You will be responsible for providing reliable administrative support which is essential in ensuring we deliver the best possible service. This will involve maintaining filing and database systems, supporting volunteers, responding to external enquiries and other activities as part of a dynamic frontline service.

This is a fantastic opportunity and will be a rewarding role for the right person. You’ll be helping us achieve our mission of supporting people in crisis.

This role could be for you if …

  • Have excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills in written and verbal English
  • are IT literate and have experience of using email, word processing, databases and spread sheet packages
  • Have an understanding and empathy with the needs of people seeking asylum and refugees and are able to provide emotional support to vulnerable people in crisis

We would welcome applications from people who:

  • Are able to speak a language common to our main groups of service users (this includes Kurdish, Arabic, Dari, Pashtu, Amharic, Tigrinya, Ukrainian)
  • Have personal experience of migration and/or family separation due to conflict or natural disaster
