What you’ll be doing:

As a key member of your area team and part of a significant pilot programme which will help determine the appropriate level of paid cover in shops for the foreseeable future, you will provide operational support to Oxfam shops within a defined geographical area to cover short term shop manager absence. You will deliver support to shop volunteer teams to ensure that the shop can continue to maximise income generation during periods of shop manager annual leave. In the absence of the shop manager you will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day operational management, working to quickly establish rapport and effective working relationships with the volunteer team, and through strong communication skills provide consistent handovers back to the resident shop manager in the agreed format. You will support shop managers within your area to create and implement a plan of action to develop shop teams/operations to enable the shop managers in the longer term, to take their holiday entitlement whilst the shop trades.

  • Willingness to travel across a defined geographic area operating in a number of shops.
