A day in the life of an Automation Specialist (RPA) will involve:

  • To capture “as is” processes and undertakes analysis to identify key issues, inefficiencies and pain points
  • To work with key stakeholders to create “to be” process/es to be automated in line with project and strategic drivers
  • To elicit requirements from the business area using a variety of methods to ensure the customer needs are fully understood.
  • To develop stable and where possible, reusable objects and processes per best practice
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the current and future automation solutions
  • To work with the business unit to develop test scenarios and test cases to ensure requirements are assessed and adequately met
  • Taking business stakeholders through test cases and achieving sign-off by the business that the tests have been completed successfully
  • Working with the Automation Lead and wider stakeholders to meet the project deadlines, schedules, and methodologies
  • Facilitate the delivery of allocated projects working with a team of experts and business stakeholders to meet project deliverables and outcomes

To be a successful Automation Specialist (RPA), You’ll need:

  • The ability to produce a prioritised set of functional requirements.
  • To be able to analyse business processes, identify potential automation opportunities.
  • To create the technical documents to support the use of Automation (RPA) technologies within BRC.
  • Experience mapping of current ‘As-Is’ business processes and suggested ‘To Be’ business process(es).
  • To develop processes on our automation platform/s per best practice and under the supervision of the Lead Automation Developer and RPA Lead.
  • The ability to develop test scenarios, cases and activities necessary to assess the quality and completion of automated solutions.
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with automation platform/s (Blue Prism, UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Power Automate etc..)
  • Experience as an Automation (RPA) Specialist (Development and Analysis)
  • Be able to deliver projects focused on intelligent automation
  • Experience of monitoring and managing project scope, managing – stakeholder expectations and change management.
  • Experience of leading internal stakeholder teams.
  • Experience of a variety of Business Analysis techniques including; customer journeys, user stories, use case diagrams.
