Job Purpose :

World Vision UK is looking for a Communications Officer, who will be responsible for creating resources and opportunities for our philanthropy, corporate and church and Christian partnerships teams to engage current and potential donors with our work. Through creative materials, compelling copy writing and a strong social media presence, you will be responsible for engaging audiences and bringing World Vision into the forefront of peoples minds, so we become their children’s charity of choice.

The right candidate will be:

  • Educated to degree level (or with equivalent training and experience) in Graphic Design or related subject;
  • You will be a proficient user of the Microsoft suite programmes including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams;
  • Have an ability to use creative programmes such as InDesign, or equivalent is essential;
  • You will have exceptional written and verbal communication skills;
  • You will also have the ability to learn quickly, manage multiple projects simultaneously and hold yourself and others to a high standard of delivery.

Through your creativity and project management skills, you will have the ability to see something from concept to completion. Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Develop and manage the Strategic Partnerships Social Media strategy, including LinkedIn;
  • Create and deliver inspiring collateral for all donor audiences within the department;
  • Design collateral which account managers can use to inform and engage new and existing donors with our work;
  • Oversee website content creation for the department and seek to improve user experience;
  • Collaboration on event content and creative ideas;
  • Lead sign off process through the brand team and ensure deadlines are met.

You will work closely with teams including; International Programmes, Policy and Advocacy, Communications, Design and Digital, ensuring our resources and collateral meet the highest possible standard and engage the right audiences with relevant information presented in the most appropriate way.
