We are looking for a Community Education Coordinator to join our team at the British Red Cross. You will ensure consistent and high-quality education delivery, meeting performance standards and strategies across the UK. By managing volunteers and fostering community relationships, the role aims to expand the organisations reach, engage the community, and maximize the effectiveness of education through blended delivery methods.
A day in the life of a Community Education Coordinator will involve:
  • Managing Community Education in a specific area, meeting national quality standards and achieving performance goals.
  • Collaborating with the Regional Community Education Manager to oversee partnerships and funded projects in the area.
  • Supporting and managing innovative projects to improve Community Education and foster collaboration across services.
  • Building partnerships and relationships with organizations, implementing them as needed.
  • Delivering education sessions to adults and youth based on identified needs and risk groups, through partnerships.
  • Meeting operational targets and provide feedback on performance indicators.
  • Ensuring a consistent, dynamic, and high-quality educational experience for external stakeholders.
  • Implementing effective business processes and systems to support Community Education delivery and volunteer.
To be a successful Community Education Coordinator, you’ll need:
  • GCSE level in maths and English, plus relevant training or experience.
  • Strong communication, excellent written and verbal skills.
  • The ability to inspire and support others.
  • Familiarity with first aid, stigma education, and humanitarian education, would be desirable.
  • Experience of coordinating and delivering projects.
  • To adapt approaches, support the team, and prioritise those in crisis while finding solutions and anticipating challenges.
