Are you an insightful and commercially minded Digital Analyst who could help the British Red Cross put ‘users’ at the centre of everything we do and make data-driven decisions?

Working as part of the Data team, this role is at the heart of the Red Cross Training directorate, working to specify, collect and present the key performance data and analysis across the breadth of our digital platforms and customer experiences.

Reporting to the Data Manager, you will make evidence-driven decisions and build understanding of our diverse audiences and customers. You will work with multiple teams to continuously measure, assess, and provide insight that will inform how to improve performance in transacting with our customers and new business leads.

In this influential and collaborative position, you will have an opportunity to shape this role in order to generate new and useful information and translate it into actions that will allow the BRC to iteratively improve our online performance.

Although this role can be based flexibly within the UK, the successful candidate would occasionally be required to join the team based in Salford.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are vital for success in this role. You will also be comfortable working with data, gathering and analysis through to design and presentation, and have an understanding digital marketing.

You will also be a great communicator, comfortable managing stakeholder relationships, influencing without authority and encouraging collaborative working to achieve goals. You’ll have experience of developing, translating and presenting reports, plans and recommendations to suit your audience in a clear, unambiguous and concise way.

The successful candidate should have the following:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Advanced knowledge of data analysis, web analytics and visualisation tools essential e.g., Google Analytics, Power BI, SQL;
  • Knowledge of GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), PECR (Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations) and how these impact on analytics;
  • Knowledge of digital marketing techniques, strategies, and tools (desirable)   ;
  • Knowledge of Jira, R Studio, Python, Regex, JavaScript (desirable);
  • Experience of working in an analytics role   ;
  • Experience of visualising and presenting complex data to non-technical audiences     ;
  • Proven experience of producing reports from a variety of data sources     ;
  • Proven experience of using large datasets to interrogate data   ;
  • Experience of providing performance analysis and recommendations on digital services would be an advantage.
You will have a natural desire to learn and develop and have a genuine interest in the work the British Red Cross do, and you’ll be keen to play a part in supporting people in crisis.
