Job Description
- Responsible for all activities of E&I team. To safely carry out day to day E&I related work in LOBP and signal linkage with Singapore Lub Park.
- Provide E&I engineering solutions to upgrade maintenance standard and independently troubleshoot and repair of machinery and equipment.
- Plan, organize and supervise preventive E&I maintenance programs based on rolling 10 years PM Master Plan.
- Reviews tender and project specifications and highlight technical queries or deviations.
- Assist Tuas Project Team to evaluate vendor’s proposals quotations & to ensure all equipment’s, instrument’s, specification and documentation are in accordance with project requirements and applicable codes.
- Assist Tuas Project Teams in validating construction drawings like Instrument Hook-ups, Cable block diagram, wiring drawings, Instrument Support drawings, Cable tray/trench layout, Instrument/Junction box plan & location layout, etc as per the project requirements.
- Initiating value added E&I improvements to increase capacity of machine and process lines performance.
- Responsible for selection and management of E&I vendors and negotiations with contractors for cost effectiveness.
- Assist Maintenance Manager to review, negotiate and renew annual maintenance contract.
- High Proficiency & expertise in PLC-HMI software trouble shooting and modification
- Established and systematically upkeep documentation: P&ID, E&I drawings, equipment E&I manual and maintenance records in compliance to ISO-9001, ISO-14001, ISO-45001 and IATF 19649 requirement
- Collect E&I failure statistic and perform analysis for effective countermeasures.
- Identify training needs of his/her staff and initiate training program to match the needs.
- Any other job assigned by Maintenance Manager.
Context and environment
- Demanding environment. Sound management of people, projects, maintenance quality and conscious of date line ;
- Able to work closely with production team on narrow time slot for E&I maintenance activities due to tight production schedule..
- Initiative to create and maintain Good Manufacturing Practise in E&I maintenance regime.
Candidate profile
- Minimum 5 years experience in chemical or petrochemical maintenance regime with people management portfolio ;
- Expertise/Skill : Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering. Strong negotiation and interpersonal skill. Able to guide & inspire his staff to achieve good standard in E&I maintenance. A good team player ;
- Conversant with ASME/ANSI, API, ISO, IEC, AGA, GPA and other international codes and standards applicable for flow measurement systems and ability to execute tasks independently ;
- Knowledge in PLC, DCS, SCADA system, RTU and etc as an added advantage ;
- Knowledge : Strong E&I knowledge, computer literacy with initiative to lead his team to provide engineering solution.
