Job Description

  • Work on an advanced technical project in an experimental physics or engineering team;
  • A project duration is up to 13 weeks;
  • Project to be done in Ukraine, no visit or stay at CERN is required;
  • A comprehensive and CERN approved report on your work and project will be expected at the end of the project and is required for payment of the grant;

Qualifications

  • You shall hold Ukrainian nationality;
  • You are enrolled as a student in Physics, Engineering, Computer Science or Mathematics in one of the accredited universities in Ukraine;
  • You must live in the part of Ukraine that is not occupied by Russia;
  • You have not worked at CERN before in any status;
  • You have a good knowledge of English.

Additional Information

Compensation

  • A contract of association as a student of up to 13 weeks to work on a technical project.
  • A 1500 CHF grant (net of tax) for the project duration.

Application procedure

  • Required documents
    • CV with motivation;
    • A copy of all your passport(s);
    • A copy of your most recent academic transcript with grades;
    • Two reference letters (dated less than 12 months), from your lecturers and/or previous internships.
  • Fill out application form and selecting at most two projects (indicate which is your favorite one)
  • First selection of the students will start four weeks after publication of this job vacancy. Applications are possible until all projects have been distributed. So, there is no explicit deadline.
