Duties and Responsibilities

CSO mapping and preparatory activities

  • Coordinate and conduct quality assurance on mapping of CSOs in OIC member countries that have Endorsed the NGO Empowerment for Poverty Reduction Program, including: instructing and supervising Tadamon Team members and Officers in Charge for each country, including UNDP Country Office Focal Points.
  • After receiving endorsement from OIC member countries and in collaboration with relevant country offices (COs), identify and contact relevant local umbrella organizations, national institutions and development partners that are working on CSO identification. Compile a database of CSOs recommended by UNDP COs and partners to be included in Tadamon Database. With the purpose of compiling their mapped databases and to assist identified CSOs with signing up on Tadamon.
  • Communicate and facilitate UNDP CO buy-in in the program and liaise with partners and government focal points to keep all stakeholders up to date and aware of progress and implementation.
  • CSO Verification: Verifying the collected CSOs information on Tadamon platform, according to set criteria, including registration status and validity within respective countries in collaboration with program stakeholders and partners.  Importing and publicizing CSO profile information on TADAMON platform.
  • Based on the lessons learned from the CSO mapping process, assist with creating a sustainability plan to find new ways to engage non-involved CSOs.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to Project Manager on progress and recommendations regarding CSO Mapping in OIC member countries.
  • Maintain and update Database including CSOs Sign-up form to reflect the needs and development in overall program activities as well as needs of partner organizations (Including UNDP, IsDB, ISFD);
  • Provide input in the design and content of Tadamon website, including Sign-up form and data visualization. Coordinate with Tadamon web development team to update and improve Tadamon Database and conduct quality control on collected information from CSOs.

Learning and community management for CSOs trained within the “NGO Empowerment” project:

  • Maintaining effective communications with program donors and partners, including IsDB & ISFD and other partners.  (weekly meetings, regular updates & progress reports);
  • Support in updating project Communication Strategy (internal and external) and Social Media Action Plan that will Support Tadamon Team, UNDP Country Offices and Partners to reach out to CSOs and contribute to CSO Outreach;
  • Coordinate and conduct Tadamon Crowdfunding/fundraising academies in selected countries based on curricula designed by Tadamon Team, including:  implementing country-specific Crowdfunding Academy plans for implementation, coordinating live and online trainings for selected CSOs, coordinating Screening and selection of applications and evaluation of project proposals;
  • Ensure the relevant data and impact indicators are collected and verified from the Tadamon Crowdfunding Academies;
  • CSO Booklets: Develop and publish CSO Booklets showcasing achieved results and conducted activities for each endorsed country in accordance with IsDB and UNDP instructions.  Booklets should include detailed breakdown of conducted activities, program timeline in each country, showcase collected data and conclusions, showcase empowered CSOs and projects supported by Tadamon, lessons learned and recommendations.
Required Skills and Experience
Education:
  • Master’s degree in the field of Communications, Marketing, Media, International Relations, Political Science, Social Science.
  • Bachelor’s degree with additional 2 years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the Master’s degree.
Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years (with Master`s degree) or 4 years (with Bachelor`s degree) of experience in the field of International Development, Communications, International Relations, Political Science, Social Science.
  • Experience in planning and organizing and conducting workshops to build capability on crowdfunding with different stakeholders.
  • Experience in planning and organizing and conducting Accelerator Programmes, Innovation challenges or similar.

Languages: Excellent English language skills (written and verbal).
