Please note that we offer a one-year contract* with the possibility of renewal. The salary and allowances are subject to income tax according to NPA’s Tax Policy. The working conditions, including annual leave, follow the Norwegian Working Environment Act.

Requirements 

  • Relevant higher education.
  • At least 5 years of proven international experience at management level in humanitarian and resilience programming.
  • Experience with protection programming and experience as an SGBV practitioner and/or managing SGBV projects or programmes.
  • Strong experience working with local or national organisations in a partnership capacity.
  • Strong managerial, coordination and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and build competence of staff and achieve results through others.
  • Strong proposal writing and grant management expertise with fundraising and donor coordination experience.
  • Proven communication, interpersonal, representation, negotiation, promotion and diplomacy skills.
  • Proven analytical and writing skills with ability to quickly develop good insight and understanding of the context and political environment  Previous work experience in Ukraine is an advantage.
  • Working knowledge of Ukrainian or Russian language is an advantage.

What you will do 

  • Lead and develop the partner-based humanitarian, SGBV/protection and resilience programme in Ukraine.
  • Provide technical guidance particularly within partner-based programming and SGBV/protection, quality control and leadership of NPA Ukraine Development and Humanitarian Cooperation team.
  • Programme development based on collaboration with and support to local partners, and quality assurance, training and sharing of knowledge competence, coordination, cross-cutting collaboration and building synergies both internal and external at all levels of the programme, especially with NPA partners.
  • Strategic programme development, integration and coordination ensuring good context and actor analysis, transparency and congruence with NPA’s Partnership and Humanitarian Policies and NPA’s strategic objectives, values and principles.
  • Constructive contribution to and participation in Ukraine senior management team and the establishing of NPA in Ukraine.
  • Fundraising and new programme development.
