Are you fond of data analytics? Are you interested in learning about the price risk exposure of a company like TOTAL and its effects? Would you like to work on an international and strategic project? If you answered yes to these questions, this internship might be for you!
As an intern you would join the Controlling and Middle Office team in the Supply, Sales and Optimization (SSO) department of TOTAL in Berlin.
The TOTAL SSO department is responsible for the supply and sales of oil products in Germany (local and exports markets). As a strategic function between the Front and Back Office, the Controlling and Middle Office team works on different innovative projects such as the Price Risk Management (PRM) and tools development to monitor our activity.
The oil market being volatile, one of our company´s challenges is to be able to cover this risk. To do so, the SSO division in Europe is setting up in its different subsidiaries a project called PRM. The project was launched in Germany a few years ago but there are still many challenges to overcome in implementing it!
Your missions:
- With the project manager, ensure the PRM tools (SURF, Cobrisk, Hedge Analysis) are up and running well as per business requirements – from identifying needs, to writing specifications and conducting IT tests
- Check data in the different systems and make sure they are transported well
- Gather and consolidate data to build relevant reports such as stocks reporting, risk simulations, risk effects analyses
- Interact with various professionals, from logistics to price risk experts in Europe (CH, BE, FR & DE teams) to improve our processes and build up knowledge & culture on the project within SSO
Gesuchtes Profil
Your profile:
- Very good English and French level to work in an international environment, German is an asset
- Capable of dealing with a complex data set and extracting simple KPIs out of them
- High adaptation capability in order to understand business and technical practices
- Innovative spirit: curiosity and proposal force
