Key Responsibilities
Overall, with the varying day-to-day tasks and approximately 15-20 hours per week, you are responsible of managing and shaping your daily tasks. You will be given a clear area of responsibility which, to a certain extent, will depend on your experience, educational background and personal interests and ambitions. There will be routine administrative tasks, and opportunities to be involved in tasks across the team.

Your weekly tasks may involve:

  • Support the team in connection to biodiversity, waste management, emissions and chemicals tasks and initiatives;
  • Investigate on local regulations and ensure that team activities are compliant;
  • Cooperate with local authorities;
  • Establish a stronger cooperation with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Find solutions to simplify and speed up existing processes and procedures;
  • Support in finding solutions to reduce the environmental impact;
  • Administration of medical certificates;
  • General administrative assistance;
  • Ad hoc tasks.

As a Student Assistant in the Environmental team, you will gain insight on four main areas within the Oil&Gas industry: Biodiversity, Waste Management, Emissions and Chemicals. You will be involved in everyday tasks and ongoing projects bringing a dynamic and interesting workday. Furthermore, you will get the opportunity to continuously learn and develop your competences in complying with local regulations. Potentially, you will be given the opportunity to gain further insight to our business as an intern or in connection with your Bachelor or Master Thesis.

Candidate profile

Who we are looking for
It is important that you possess a safety mindset. You are currently enrolled at a university and we expect your study to have insights on Data Management and Analysis. This position calls for a structured approach to planning and workload prioritization. This is with high-quality focus to details and interest in improving the environment-mindset in TEPDK. Moreover, it is crucial to have a pragmatic attitude, aiming to reduce the impact on the local environment. Excellent interpersonal and communicative skills are essential. We are looking for an open-minded self-starter with the ability to build relationships and work constructively with others to achieve business goals.

Your background

  • Resident in Denmark, near Esbjerg;
  • Relevant educational degree, preferably Chemical Engineering or Environmental Resource Management;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programme: Word, Outlook, Power Point and Excel;
  • Outgoing and socially confident personality;
  • Able and willing to deal with uncertainty;
  • Proficiency in oral and written English;
  • Danish might be an advantage.
