PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT

To comply with the divisional responsibilities and the challenges across a wide range of tasks regarding the overall grant and financial management, PPF requires a Grants Management Consultant to work in the Finance Team under the direct supervision of the Grants Management & Finance Manager. The selected candidate will be part of the grant management team and will work closely and liaise with PPF’s Accounts Managers as well as counterparts in other relevant divisions in Headquarters, Regional Bureaux and Country Offices globally.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Within delegated authority, the Grants Management Consultant will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Register Grants (income) in SAP WINGS related to the Individual Fundraising (IF) stream in line with WFP rules & regulations and PPF’s internal processes.
  • Ensure proper tracking of all IF contributions and subsequent allocations using the specialized IF tracking tool.
  • Perform the allocation exercise of IF grants on a quarterly basis, based on the monthly allocation reports received from the IF team (IG and STM) and external stakeholders (Maecenata, WFPUSA, JAWFP…etc)
  • Coordinate with the Business Analysis team to ensure income from IF is properly reflected in Tableau and PPF reports.
  • Serve as focal point for exchange correspondence with CO, RB, HQ and internal teams for all queries related to IF contributions.
  • Ensure proper tracking of the PPF retention fee on IF contributions and perform quarterly allocations to the PPF special account.
  • Continuously work on improving and streamlining the IF registration/allocation process to overcome challenges when they arise
  • Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders on the IF registration/allocation process when needed.
  • Ensure a timely year-end closure in terms of IF contribution registration and income recognition in its correct period.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Education
  • University degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or related fields
 

Work history

  • 2-3 years of experience in Finance, Accounting or related
Technical skills

 

  • Essential computer skills in Microsoft Office applications: proficiency in Word, PowerPoint and Excel;
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel;
  • Knowledge of SAP software is an advantage;
  • Work experience within the United Nations system or a similar international organization in humanitarian/development sector is a significant advantage.

  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, maintain a high level of accuracy and a strong service orientation.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks within deadlines and deliver on commitments.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and diplomatically with a wide range of stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
Languages :
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English;
  • Intermediate knowledge of another official UN language would be a plus.
