Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

We are searching for a project manager to deliver projects within Palladium’s Complex Delivery Solutions cluster.

You would work on impactful projects within the UK across public sector departments, leveraging our positive impact expertise to bring solutions to some of the government’s most pressing issues across social issues, employment, energy and climate change.

Your exact responsibilities would vary depending on the nature of the projects and clients you work with, but would include:

 

Project Management

  • Lead in setting up the programme’s project management office, including procurement, contracting and recruitment as needed ;
  • Design and develop adaptive operational processes for the set-up of the programme management office, and train colleagues as needed ;
  • Coordinate with the client on expectations of the project management office and be adaptive to clients’ changing needs ;
  • Administer the process, reporting and analysis of a portfolio of complex projects ;
  • Be proactive in risk monitoring, mitigation, escalation and reporting to the client and to Palladium ;
  • Create and maintain an internal project workplan with key milestones and updates ;
  • Support team members in the development of the project strategy, where applicable ;
  • Organise and gather information from various stakeholders, meetings and reports for information or recommendation to the client, Palladium’s partner or Palladium.

 

Reporting

  • Produce high quality templates for client requirements including risk management, quarterly reports, continuous improvement logs, report and change control logs, information security management plans, security management plans, communication plans, quarterly stakeholder engagement reports, lessons learned logs, delivery confidence assessments, commercialisation reports, construction reports and operations reports ;
  • Coordinate and collaborate with colleagues, Palladium’s partner and client to complete and manage the reports on a monthly, quarterly, annually or ad-hoc basis as needed ;
  • Provide critical contributions and analysis to the reporting requirements ;
  • Work with an IT provider to design the systems and processes in line with data security best practice, including technical and operational processes and personal data and design robust management information and dashboards.3

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience managing successful delivery of projects for UK public sector clients ;
  • Relevant project management qualifications such as PRINCE2 or Agile would be an advantage ;
  • Core experience of delivery in project and programme environments, with an understanding of delivery/change methodologies, processes, techniques and common challenges ;
  • Strong understanding of, and ability to lead the creation of an embedded PMO ;
  • Track record of delivering technology-driven or technology-enabled public sector impact projects ;
  • Ability to work across multiple levels of an organisation and take the lead with large, diverse and remote project teams ;
  • Adaptability and the ability to come up with creative solutions for clients ;
  • Clear passion for making impact in the public and social sector ;
  • Drive to go the “extra mile” required to solve the most complex issues ;
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English.
