About this opportunity

This is an exciting role for an Estates Surveyor who will be responsible for the direct management of South & South East England portfolio of the British Red Cross property portfolio. The successful candidate will be instructing and managing agency surveyors and solicitors, acting on all acquisitions and disposals in the region, as well as negotiating all rent reviews, lease renewals and lease re-gears directly with landlords or their appointed surveyors.

You will lead the search for suitable properties to match any requirements agreed with UK Operations or Retail and lead the disposal of any property designated as surplus to requirements, appointing and instructing agents and solicitors and negotiating directly with landlords where appropriate, liaising with internal stakeholders throughout the process.

In this largely autonomous role, you will act as the first point of expert advice to internal and external stakeholders, for all estates related matters in respect of your regional properties, collaborating closely with the Facilities Management and Building Surveying teams who make up the wider Property Department.
